Helping Hands Child Development Center

Helping Hands Child Development Center's mission is to provide a safe, high quality learning environment for all young children, to support them in developing a positive self-image and to foster a joy for learning.  In addition, Helping Hands provides a laboratory setting for the training of early childhood professionals for the benefit of the children, childcare providers, and the community.  Internship is provided  for students enrolled in the Early Childhood Development curriculum.

Our high quality consists of Director, Sr. Teacher, Lead Teachers, assistant Teachers, a food nutritionist and classroom aides (18 years or older).  All of our lead teachers have at least an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and most of our assistant teachers as well or are working towards their Associate Degree. The ratio is supervision is 4 to 1 staff (Nursery 6 weeks - 16 months), 5 to 1 staff (Toddler room 16 months - 30 months), 8 to 1 staff (Pre-K 1 class 30 months - 48 months), and 10 to 1 staff (Pre-K 2 and school age class 4 years - 12 years).  We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and are licensed for 87 children.  We offer full-time and part-time enrollment. Currently our hours of operation are 7:30-5:30, we would like to extend our hour in the future to accommodate more families
