Danville Community College Partners with River District Consulting Group to Provide Professional Development for Faculty and Staff

Danville Community College is pleased to announce its partnership with River District Consulting Group, a leading provider of professional development and consulting services. Through this partnership, all DCC employees have been given the opportunity to take the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment, a tool designed to help individuals identify and leverage their unique strengths.

The professional development initiative is part of DCC's ongoing commitment to supporting the growth and success of its staff. By investing in professional development, DCC is helping to ensure that its employees have the tools and resources they need to continue to grow and thrive in their roles.

"We are thrilled to partner with River District Consulting Group to provide professional development opportunities for our entire staff," said Dr. Cornelius Johnson, VP of Academic Affairs and Student Services. "We believe that investing in our employees is one of the most important things we can do as an institution, and we are confident that this partnership will help us achieve that goal."

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment is a scientifically validated tool that helps individuals identify their top strengths across 34 different themes. By understanding their strengths, employees can better leverage them to achieve their goals and contribute to the success of the college.

Hollie Adams and Rachel del Campo Gatewood, the facilitators of the professional development sessions, have extensive experience in the field of professional development and have worked with numerous organizations to help their employees develop and grow. They have facilitated a variety of engaging exercises with DCC faculty and staff to further explore each employee's personal strengths that were identified in the assessment.

"We are excited to be working with Danville Community College and its employees to help them better understand and leverage their unique strengths," said Adams. "By focusing on strengths, we can help individuals achieve their full potential and contribute to the overall success of the organization."

Del Campo Gatewood echoed these sentiments, noting that the partnership is a testament to DCC's commitment to its employees and their ongoing development: "We are impressed by the level of investment that Danville Community College is making in its employees, and we are excited to be a part of that process. We look forward to working with all of the employees at DCC to help them achieve their full potential."

The professional development initiative is just one example of DCC's ongoing commitment to investing in its employees and providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. DCC encourages all employees to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the partnership with River District Consulting Group and to continue to grow and develop in their roles.
