Enrollment for Summer and Fall Classes Opens on April 1 at Danville Community College

Danville Community College (DCC) has announced that enrollment for both Summer and Fall classes will open on April 1, 2024. Prospective students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to embark on their educational journey at one of the leading institutions in the region.

“We’re encouraging individuals to take the first step in changing the trajectory of their career and life,” said Dr. Jerry Wallace, President of DCC. “Come experience the DCC difference for yourself and take advantage of the low tuition costs (many students attend with no out-of-pocket cost), smaller class sizes, and a vibrant, inclusive campus community – right here in your hometown.”

With a diverse range of programs and courses tailored to meet the needs of students pursuing various career paths, DCC offers a high-quality education that prepares individuals for success in their chosen fields. Whether students are interested in pursuing an associate degree, diploma, or certificate, or seeking to transfer to a four-year institution, DCC provides the resources and support needed to achieve academic and career goals.

“DCC offers resources and wraparound services to support students who are experiencing barriers to their education,” said Dr. Wallace. “We offer access to tutoring services, food pantry, career closet, childcare options, mental health services, scholarships, financial aid, emergency funding, and so much more to ensure our students can persist and complete their educational goals.”

In addition to the regular enrollment process, DCC is pleased to announce the return of Walk-in Wednesdays, offering prospective students the chance to explore the campus, meet with academic advisors, and complete the enrollment process in-person.

Walk-in Wednesdays will take place on April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the Wyatt building (Admissions – Room 108, Advising – Room 101). This initiative aims to streamline the enrollment process and provide personalized assistance to individuals seeking to start or continue their education.

"At DCC, we are committed to providing quality comprehensive higher education, workforce programs and services to promote student success and enhance business and community partnerships,” said Dr. Wallace. “We are thrilled to welcome prospective students to explore the opportunities available at our institution. Our dedicated faculty and staff are here to support students every step of the way as they pursue their academic and career goals."
