What is Early College?
- The Early College Program is a partnership between Danville Public Schools and Danville Community College that gives eligible students the opportunity to earn an Associate’s Degree while in high school.
 
Why Early College?
- Allows students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously.
 - Enables students to to earn an associates degree with 60 transferable credits toward their four-year degree.
 - Lowers the cost of postsecondary education.
 - Helps students gain valuable college and professional success skills while in high school
 
Who is Eligible?
- Rising high school juniors at George Washington High School or Galileo Magnet High School.
 - Minimum GPA.
 - Completion of Algebra.
 - Students with a strong work ethic and no disciplinary issues.
 
How to Apply?
- Contact your high school counselor.
 - Complete the online Danville Public Schools Early College application.
 - Complete the Danville Community College application.
 - Attend Early College Informational Meeting.
