Danville Community College (DCC) officially celebrated the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rural Empowerment Inc., LLC on March 30, 2026, during a ceremony held on campus. The partnership establishes a collaborative effort to provide comprehensive training in information technology and cybersecurity, equipping students with the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.
Representing Rural Empowerment Inc. at the signing were founders Jay Challa and Vinai Thummalapally, who joined college leadership in commemorating the partnership and its impact on workforce development in the region.
The agreement highlights a shared commitment to bridging education and industry by delivering hands-on learning experiences aligned with workforce demands. Through this collaboration, students will gain access to training that blends academic instruction with real-world application, preparing them for high-demand careers in IT and cybersecurity.
