DANVILLE, VA — Danville Community College (DCC) welcomed more than 200 job seekers to the 2025 All Citizens Job & Resource Fair on Thursday, November 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Danville Community Market in the heart of the River District.

The annual event brought together 209 attendees, 82 employers and resource providers, and an impressive 431 available job openings, reinforcing its role as one of the region’s premier workforce and community engagement events.

The fair opened with welcome remarks from DCC Vice President of Workforce Services, Jessica Dalton, who thanked employers for their commitment to strengthening the region’s workforce and highlighted the college’s mission of connecting citizens with meaningful career pathways. Attendees and even employers were greeted by a lively appearance from Knighty the Mighty, DCC’s beloved mascot, who brought a memorable dose of fun and photo ops to the event.

“Workforce development is economic development,” said Jessica Dalton, Vice President of Workforce Services. “By connecting citizens to meaningful employment and employers to qualified candidates, we’re supporting the health, vibrancy, and long-term stability of our entire region.”

Employers and resource providers were treated to complimentary donuts, coffee, and lunch, provided by the job fair team as a token of appreciation for their support and participation.

The event was further strengthened by volunteers from Danville Community College, PATHS, and the Department of Social Services, who assisted with check-in, navigation, and visitor support throughout the day.

“This fair embodies the heart of our mission,” said DCC President Dr. Cornelius Johnson. “When education, employers, and community partners come together, we create real opportunities that change the trajectory of families and strengthen the economic vitality of our region. We’re proud to lead these efforts and grateful to every employer and job seeker who participated.”

This year’s event was made possible through generous sponsorship from Virginia Career Works, AeroFarms, Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Kamor Care Services, and Pepsi. Food for vendors and volunteers was provided by O’Kelly’s and Delite Donuts.

DCC remains committed to fostering accessible, high-quality pathways to employment through education, training, and strong partnerships. The All Citizens Job & Resource Fair continues to serve as a vital bridge between local talent and the employers who power the region’s growth.
