On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Dr. Carl B. Smalls, Vice President of Finance & Administration, served as the keynote speaker at the Danville Public Schools Adult Education Program, R.I.S.E. Academy, and George Washington High School Graduation Ceremony, held at 5:30 PM at O.T. Bonner Middle School in Danville.
The R.I.S.E. Academy, a vital initiative housed within George Washington High School, provides adult learners and career development students with opportunities to earn credentials, complete diplomas, and enhance their workforce readiness. This year’s graduation celebrated the achievements of students who demonstrated exceptional determination in pursuing their educational goals.
Dr. Smalls shared insights on the importance of faith in your abilities, perseverance, and community investment. His remarks emphasized the power of education to transform lives and build a brighter future.
