Laura Worley Novey to Deliver Danville Community College Commencement Keynote

Danville Community College is proud to announce that Laura Worley Novey, Senior Vice President at McGuireWoods Consulting and leader of the firm's national education industry team, will serve as the commencement speaker during the graduation exercises on May 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Ms. Novey's extensive experience in education policy and her dedication to advancing educational opportunities make her an exceptional choice to address the graduating class of 2024.

 

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Laura Worley Novey has made significant contributions to education and public service. Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, she served in leadership roles at Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia, bringing valuable insights and expertise to higher education institutions.

 

Her tenure as the Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia further exemplifies her commitment to shaping education policy and fostering innovation in the field.
