Limited Space Still Available in DCC RN Nursing Program for Fall 2025

Danville Community College (DCC) is proud to offer one of the region’s most comprehensive and high-quality nursing programs, providing students with the knowledge, hands-on training, and clinical experience needed to excel in the healthcare field. With state-of-the-art simulation labs, expert faculty, and strong partnerships with local healthcare providers, DCC’s Nursing program is a top choice for those pursuing a career in nursing. Seats for a Fall 2025 start are filling quickly, but limited space is still available.

“Nursing is a profession that requires both skill and compassion,” said Dr. Jim Emerson, Nursing Program Director at DCC. “Our program is designed to equip students with the practical experience and foundational knowledge they need to provide exceptional care and thrive in their careers.”

The demand for skilled nurses continues to rise, and DCC is committed to preparing students to meet this growing need. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), a key step toward becoming a licensed RN. Many DCC nursing graduates go on to secure fulfilling positions in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings.

"As a recent graduate of the DCC RN Program, I enjoyed the smaller cohort sizes because it allowed us as students to get to know our classmates and professors, " said Mady Wilkerson. "It made lectures and learning the curriculum content alongside my peers more fun!"

DCC’s Nursing program is known for its rigorous academic standards, supportive learning environment, and hands-on clinical training, ensuring that students gain real-world experience before entering the workforce. The program’s emphasis on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice prepares graduates to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Prospective students interested in joining this exceptional program are encouraged to apply soon. Limited spaces remain for the Fall 2025 semester. To learn more or submit an application, visit www.danville.edu/nursing or contact the DCC Nursing Department at 434-797-8512.
