Nursing Program Entrance Testing

The DCC Nursing Program will be accepting applications for the RN program for Fall 2026 between January 19-April 18, 2026.

All students applying to the DCC Nursing program must achieve a composite score of 65% for all four sections of the ATI TEAS: Reading, Mathematics, English & Language Usage, and Science. Students will have only three attempts per acceptance period. Each attempt must be at least 2 weeks apart to allow for remediation.

Did you know that 40% of students take the TEAS test more than once? The biggest mistake students make on the TEAS is not taking the time to review and study.

  • DCC RN Admissions Rubric

January 2026. Danville Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program Admissions Rubric. The rubric outlines minimum ATI Admissions Exam requirements and a final admission selection point system. Applicants must meet an overall ATI score of 65 percent or higher and an ATI Science score of 51.1 percent or higher to be considered. Final admission points are based on cumulative GPA, grades in general biology and chemistry, ATI overall composite score, ATI science, math, reading, and English and language usage scores, and course success history. GPA points range from zero to three based on GPA tiers. Course grades and ATI scores are assigned specific point values by percentage ranges. Course success awards two points for meeting minimum grade and withdrawal requirements within the last five years. The maximum total nursing admissions points possible is 100. Notes indicate no rounding of GPA or scores and explain the five-year course success timeframe.
