Regular Meetings
Twice a month, as needed. They are generally discussion of chapter events and they are held in Student Center during College hour on the third Tuesday of every month from 11 to noon. Chapter Charter
Vision:
All DCC Veterans will succeed in higher education, achieve their academic goals, and gain meaningful employment after following the College support staff recommendations - see Mr. Kelley in the Student Center.
Mission:
To provide current military and DCC veteran students with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education during their tenure on campus.
DCC SVO Goal:
The Student Veterans Organization (SVO) was built by fellow student Veterans to provide students with the methods and resources needed in the transition from active duty to college life. The chapter recognizes and understand the challenges and obstacles faced by students from enrolling and class selection, to VA benefits and financial aid. The SVO is building veteran groups for camaraderie, mentorship and professional networking on the DCC campus and beyond to assist in making those educational goals easily attainable.
