Business Breakfasts

Danville Community College's Alumni Association honors businesses quarterly that hire large numbers of DCC alumni with breakfast for all employees. Alumni Council members arrive with trays of food from Chick-fil-A at the appointed time for each business.  Any business owner or manager wishing to have employees considered for breakfast honors is encouraged to send information to alumni@danville.edu. The Alumni Relations Coordinator will contact the person sending information for coordination of a future breakfast.

The program for businesses began in the spring of 2014 with American National Bank and Trust Company, which has the largest number of DCC alumni percentage wise of any employer in the region. Many employers and organizations are very close to American National's percentages of over 80 percent.

One such employer is the Danville Fire Department with 80 percent having gone through or graduated from the Fire Science Program. Danville Police Department employees are a close second to the Fire Department with numerous employees completing the Criminal Justice Program at DCC.

Jarrett Welding, utilizing DCC's welding and business programs continues to expand, hiring employees from the DCC training initiatives.
