DCC Nursing Class of 2026 Achieves 93.75% NCLEX-RN Pass Rate

Danville Community College (DCC) is celebrating outstanding results from its May 2026 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) graduating class, with 93.75% of graduates passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt. 

All 32 graduates from DCC’s May 2026 nursing cohort have taken the NCLEX-RN at least once. Of those graduates, 30 passed on their first attempt, representing a combined first-attempt pass rate of 93.75%.

Students Named to DCC Vice President’s Honors List for Spring 2026

291 Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County residents were recently named to the Danville Community College Vice President’s Honors List for the Spring 2026 semester. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled for six or more credit hours in the spring semester, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, have a semester GPA of 3.0 - 3.74 , and have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours at the college.

Danville Community College Opens Enrollment for New Aviation Maintenance Technology Program

DANVILLE, Va. — Danville Community College is proud to announce that enrollment is now officially open for its new Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program, with classes set to begin in August 2026.



Danville Community College will initially house the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at the Sentec Building, located on the campus of the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. Plans are underway for a permanent, state-of-the-art aviation training facility to be located at the Danville Regional Airport, further strengthening the program’s connection to real-world aviation operations.

Danville Community College celebrated its 2026 commencement ceremony with pride, reflection, and excitement as 684 graduates marked the completion of their academic journeys, collectively earning 1,017 degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Of those graduates, 416 participated in the ceremony held on May 16, 2026, crossing the stage in celebration of their hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

Danville Community College (DCC) has been designated a 2026–2027 Military Friendly® School, earning Silver status for its continued commitment to supporting veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.

 

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 3,200 schools participated in the 2026–2027 survey cycle, with only a select group earning recognition based on their ability to meet and exceed standards in student retention, graduation, job placement, and support services for military-connected students.
