DCC Nursing Program Presents Student First Ever ‘DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students’
On May 12, Danville Community College hosted its annual Nursing Graduate Pinning Ceremony. During the ceremony which recognizes graduates of the DCC Nursing Program for their dedication and hard work, nursing faculty presented a student with the first ever ‘DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students’ to Kaitlin Oldham.
Dr. Jerry Wallace Hired as President of Danville Community College
Glenn DuBois, the chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges announced on May 12 that he has hired Dr. Jerry Wallace to become the next president of Danville Community College.

Danville Community College’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has been awarded an $850,000 grant from the United States Department of Labor to create the DCC Cybersecurity Short-term Training Initiative, the College today announced.
DCC to Host Public Forums with Presidential Candidates
DCC will welcome three presidential candidates to their campus throughout the first week of May. The candidates and their spouses will spend several days in Danville touring the community and attending public forums where they will answer questions from attendees.
DCC Receives NSA Validation for Cyber Security Program
DCC has achieved National Security Agency (NSA) validation for their information systems technology network engineer – cyber and network security specialization Associate of Applied Science degree through the 2027 academic year.
Outdoor Commencement Planned for DCC, President Emeritus to Speak
