Danville Community College Announces Commencement Speaker
Danville Community College has announced that McKenzie Snow, Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia, will serve as the keynote speaker at this year's commencement ceremony. The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the Grant Center Gymnasium at Averett University’s North Campus.

Students Named to DCC President’s Honors List for Fall 2022
191 Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County residents were recently named to the Danville Community College President’s Honors List for the Fall 2022 semester. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled for six or more credit hours in the fall semester, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, have a semester GPA of 3.75 or higher, and have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours at the college.
Students Named to DCC Vice President’s Honors List for Fall 2022
172 Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County residents were recently named to the Danville Community College Vice President’s Honors List for the Fall 2022 semester. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled for six or more credit hours during the fall semester, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, have a semester GPA of 3.0 to 3.74, and have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours at the college.
Danville Community College Dental Hygiene Students Achieve 100% Clinical Boards Pass Rate
Danville Community College (DCC) has proudly announced that all of its dental hygiene students who took the clinical board exam have passed, achieving a 100% pass rate. This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional training that DCC dental hygiene students receive.
DCC Launches New Grant Program to Reduce Poverty and Remove Barriers
Danville Community College (DCC) is excited to announce the launch of their new TANF Grant program, SCALE UP 2. The program’s goal is to move income-eligible individuals out of poverty by providing resources to address more fully the needs of students prior to their entry into work and during employment.
State Board for Community Colleges to Consider 2023-24 Tuition and Fees at May Meeting
In accordance with Section 23.1-307 (D) of the Code of Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges provides notice that it will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for Virginia’s Community Colleges, effective fall 2023, at 9 a.m. on May 18, 2023, at the Virginia Community College System, System Office, 300 Arboretum Place, Richmond, VA 23236.
