Danville Community College Hosts ‘Knight for a Day’ to Showcase Programs and Career Pathways to Local High School Seniors
Danville Community College (DCC) is hosting upcoming ‘Knight for a Day’ events for high school seniors, guidance counselors, and college advisors from Pittsylvania County Schools and Danville Public Schools. These one-day visits will take place on March 24 and March 31, 2023, respectively, and will showcase DCC's wide variety of programs and career pathways.
Danville Community College Sees Enrollment Jump for Spring Semester
Danville Community College (DCC) has seen a significant increase in enrollment for the Spring 2023 semester, with a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth is attributed to many factors – most notably, the hard work of the faculty and staff at the college.

DCC Welcomes New Vice President of Workforce Services
This week, Danville Community College (DCC) welcomed their new Vice President of Workforce Services, Mark Funkey.
Born in Nebraska and raised in New Mexico, Mark Funkey obtained his Bachelor of Science from Bellevue University in 2003; his Master of Arts in Management from Doane University in 2013; and he expects to graduate with a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Doane University in May of this year.
