Stephanie Totten was first pinned as the 1,000th Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduate of DCC in 2003 and now, 21 years later, she has graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN), showcasing the transformative power of education and the strength of the DCC community.
Danville Community College Nursing Graduates Achieve Outstanding NCLEX Pass Rates for 2024
Danville Community College (DCC) proudly announces the exceptional performance of its nursing graduates on their licensure exams. The college’s Registered Nursing (RN) graduates achieved a 90% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), while its Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) graduates attained a perfect 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-PN.

DCC Gives Back with Supply Drive for House of Hope Homeless Shelter
The Danville Community College Nursing Club, committed to making a positive impact in their community, recently organized a successful collection drive to support the House of Hope homeless shelter. The Nursing Club collected much-needed supplies and donations to assist the shelter in its mission to provide essential resources and support to the local homeless population.

DCC Nursing Club Delivers Love to Nursing Homes on Valentines Day
Members of the DCC Nursing Club donated $10 each in honor of Valentines Day to purchase and deliver 175 blankets and goodie bags to each resident of Berry Hill Rehabilitation in South Boston and Piney Forest Rehabilitation in Danville.

Nursing Pediatric Assessments
The LPN to RN bridge students practiced their pediatric assessment on two real "patients," the grandson of student Lillie Brooks and the son of Associate Professor, Dr. Krystle Forlines. Dr. Jim Emerson and Professor Jennifer Bowen assisted the students with their assessments.

DCC Nursing Program Presents Student First Ever ‘DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students’
On May 12, Danville Community College hosted its annual Nursing Graduate Pinning Ceremony. During the ceremony which recognizes graduates of the DCC Nursing Program for their dedication and hard work, nursing faculty presented a student with the first ever ‘DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students’ to Kaitlin Oldham.
