DCC joins with the Virginia Ready Initiative in conjunction with the Virginia Community College System to provide additional support and incentive for community members who have been laid off due to COVID-19 to retrain and return to work in high-demand fields.

DCC celebrated Favorite Face Covering Day as part of the Commonwealth of Virginia's third annual OnTheSquareVA employee engagement program this year!

DCC will soon provide welding training to Morgan Olson employees. The effort to create a talent pipeline for the manufacturer will positively impact the workforce in the City of Danville and the surrounding area by creating 703 skilled jobs.

DCC is accepting students for enrollment for the fall semester.

DCC officially welcomed their newest advisory board member, Robert David, Sr., youth and gang violence prevention coordinator for the City of Danville, at their June 15th meeting.  

DCC, in keeping with their COVID-19 taskforce plan and the recommendations set forth by the Virginia Community College System, plans to partially reopen their campus to students who are enrolled in technical/workforce programs that require face-to-face instruction on July 1, 2020.

Two Danville Community College students have been nominated to the Phi Theta Kappa 2020 All-Virginia Academic Team.

DCC distributed funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to eligible students last week.
