Danville Community College announced the hiring of Willie Sherman as the new instructor of business management this semester.

Get a Skill, Get a Job, Give Back. That is the vision of Governor Ralph Northam’s proposed G3 initiative, designed to support Virginia’s students. If approved by the state legislature in the coming weeks, the plan will open new pathways to success for low- and middle-income Virginians to gain employment in high-demand jobs.

DCC Instructor Josh Worthley earned the NIMS Inspector certification last semester, which allows the conducting of on-site student-made part inspection.

“Being able to fly a drone places you at the ground floor of numerous opportunities,” Martel said. “Flying drones gives you a whole new perspective of filming and taking pictures.”
